She has been posting videos of her work to YouTube for more than eight years, mostly focusing on skin extractions including cyst and blackhead removal.

She was shocked when these videos quickly became popular on Instagram and YouTube, earning her the deliciously vulgar moniker “Dr. Pimple Popper.”

It was just a matter of time until Dr. Lee brought her expertise to television, given the expanding news coverage and rising channel subscribers. Of course, TLC received the honour.

What is the TV Show Dr. Pimple Popper?

An American reality television programme called Dr. Pimple Popper airs on TLC. The dermatologist and Internet sensation Dr. Sandra Lee is the star of the show.

Which follows her as she treats patients with odd cases of facial and skin issues at her Upland, California, clinic, Skin Physicians & Surgeons, in the Inland Empire.

Before the first season premiered on July 11, 2018, the show debuted with an hour-long special on January 3, 2018.

Dr. Pimple Popper quickly rose to the #1 cable programme among women between the ages of 25 and 54 in its time slot after debuting on Wednesdays at 10:00 p.m. Eastern Time.

The series was renewed for a second season by TLC on August 14, the day before the final episode of Season 1 aired. The new episodes are scheduled to broadcast in January 2019.

Before the second season’s premiere on January 3, 2019, with its episodes moving to 9 p.m. Eastern Time on Thursdays, another hour-long special aired on December 13, 2018.

Lee now has a thriving practise in the suburbs of Los Angeles after creating an epidemic empire with her pimple-popping, cyst-lancing, and blackhead-extracting videos on YouTube and Instagram.

There we meet her patients-of-the-week, folks with skin disorders that are far more disfiguring than blackheads and breakouts.

Dr. Sandra Lee, who is well-known for the TLC reality series Dr. Pimple Popper, has throughout the years performed some startling makeovers on her patients.

Dr. Lee handles a wide range of dermatological conditions in her office in California, from lipomas to acne.

Patients go great distances to see Dr. Lee in the hopes that she may be able to assist them where others have failed.

In 2015, Dr. Lee started releasing videos of her dermatology workday. Since then, she has grown in popularity.
