Canadian professional ice hockey player Sarah Nurse (born January 4, 1995) also serves as a board member for the Professional Women’s Hockey Players Association.

Nurse is a member of the Canadian women’s national ice hockey team (PWHPA). She first competed for her country at the 2015 4 Nations Cup.

She competed for Canada in the 2018 Winter Olympics, where she won silver. In the 2022 Gold Medal game, Team Canada defeated the United States 3-2, and she scored the game’s first goal.

The NHL player Darnell Nurse said it was “a very happy moment” to see his cousin Sarah Nurse win gold with Team Canada at the Beijing 2022 Olympics.

Canada won the gold medal game against the United States on Thursday, with a goal from Nurse (17 February).

The silver medal at PyeongChang 2018 was the 27-year-second old’s Olympic medal.

Nurse scored 18 points during the competition, breaking the previous Olympic record set by Canada’s Hayley Wickenheiser by one point.

At the age of 14, Darnell Nurse realised what it would take to make it as a professional athlete.

The future defenceman for the Edmonton Oilers was in Phoenix this summer to train with his uncle, the six-time Pro Bowl quarterback Donovan McNabb.

McNabb, who played in the NFL for 13 seasons for the Philadelphia Eagles, the Washington Redskins.

And the Minnesota Vikings, was known as Five (his jersey number) among his football teammates in the weight room.

All of them took in his tall, skinny nephew from Hamilton, Ontario and started calling him Little Five while they were in training.

Nurse, now 25, has gone from an aspiring football player to a top-four defensemen with the Oilers.

And he credits the influence of the former quarterback as one of several top-flight sportsmen in his family.
