Kelly Clarkson, in case you didn’t know, is a major accessory fanatic. Kelly is no stranger to accessorising.
She regularly dons necklaces, bracelets, rings, earrings, and even elaborate face masks. However, Kelly has a new weapon in her armoury as of… yesterday: a black eye patch.
People began to ask, understandably, why Kelly wore the patch she did during The Voice. Fans should rest easy, though, because Kelly gave a straightforward response.
Obviously, there’s going to be a noticeable change in me today. To be honest, sometimes I fantasise of being a supervillain.

“Something got in my eye and it became a little infected, so I had to wear an eye patch,” Kelly said in a teaser for The Voice. She dressed up her black T-shirt and black pants with crimson lipstick and gold hoops.
This patch may look familiar; Kelly first sported it in September on an episode of The Kelly Clarkson Show. Because The Voice is prerecorded, the patch has returned.
Kelly has previously described the patch and provided some background on the infection. For a long time during the filming of The Voice, I was perched in this very window.
A lot of the structures out here on the Universal lot are dusty, and I have a severe allergy to dust.
What Happened to Kelly’s Eye?
After appearing on “California Live” on NBC in Los Angeles, The Voice coach provided a bit more detail on the eye ailment that has been plaguing her.
Kelly has a dust allergy, and while filming for the latest season of The Voice, something must have gotten inside and caused havoc for her.
Coach Blake informed the media source, “Maybe chopped it, did something.” from The Voice. The infection spread.
The scene resembled something from the film Hitch (can you recognise that name?). Kelly reported, alluding to the Will Smith film from 2005.
“At first, it was so inflated that I wondered what on earth I should do. I had to film The Voice for an entire day for a patch called Battle Realities while dressed in all black because it was the predetermined costume.
