Kate Middleton Holds Tarantula Called Charlotte While Nervous Wills Watches On

And Kate once again surprised when, while touring a university, she fearlessly grabbed a tarantula spider and let it crawl on her hands while Prince William looked on, obviously nervous.

The pair flew into Belfast this afternoon and spent the day visiting young people and learning about the work being done by various organisations to foster better relations between different communities.

They began their tour at Ulster University’s Magee Campus, where they met students and saw the university’s Kidz Farm wellness petting zoo.

Kate Middleton Happily Held a Tarantula Named Charlotte

Their visit to Northern Ireland has been, to put it mildly, eventful for the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge. On a visit to Ulster University in Derry/Londonderry with her husband (who also wore a suit.

But that’s nothing new), Kate Middleton(opens in new tab) wore the most incredible purple suit and navy pumps.

Perhaps they shared more than one thing? They got a tarantula (opens in new tab) with the same name as their kid.

Middleton, however, held the animal in the palm of her hand with a huge grin on her face; I, on the other hand, would have fled a mile away. That makes her more than a duchess; she’s a darn hero, too.

Her husband, on the other hand, grinned tensely but followed closely behind, looking more like a coward than a hero.

They tweeted a picture of the event with the caption, “A surprise guest appearance from Charlotte the tarantula.”
