Season 4 of Anne with an E has been cancelled.

There’s no easy way to tell you this, but Anne with an E was cancelled after its third season. In November of 2019, it was revealed that the event would no longer happen. CBC and Netflix have confirmed that the show was cancelled shortly after the third season began in 2019.

Both CBC and Netflix confirmed the show’s cancellation in a joint statement.

We’re very happy that people all over the world can now enjoy Anne With an E, a story that is so uniquely Canadian. For their outstanding efforts in bringing Anne’s story to a new audience, we are indebted to producers Moira Walley-Beckett and Miranda de Pencier, as well as the entire cast and crew.

As they said, “We hope fans of the show adore this last season as much as we do, and that it gives a fitting conclusion to Anne’s journey.”

As far as the crew was concerned, Season 3 was the last one.

Fans of “Anne with an E” have started a petition to have the series renewed.

Audience members were disappointed by the show’s concluding act. They enjoyed the season, but they want to see more. Disappointment was felt by the audience when the show was cancelled.

They acknowledge that there is more to the show’s story. We need to know more about the ka’kwet, about Anne’s reign as queen, and, of course, about Shirbert’s growth. People who have seen it think it’s great and think it should keep going because it deals with important issues.

Orphans, abandoned children, psychological trauma, and societal concerns including gender inequity, racism, homophobia, bullying, and free speech are all touched on in the series.

A petition was established with the goal that it would get the attention of Netflix and the show’s creators, who would hopefully decide to keep the series going.

The show’s fascinating protagonists and antagonists hook viewers right away. If we’re talking about series, we can say that the relationships between friends and family members are rock solid and honest, and that they’re great to watch develop.

Walley-Beckett informed viewers of the show’s discontinuation via Instagram and an open letter.

In an emotional post, she said, “My heart is heavy but I am so proud of this show — proud of my brilliant cast, crew, writers, and directors for working together so passionately to bring my vision of #annewithane to life.”
